The key to building an unforgettable itinerary starts with a well-prepared Request for Itinerary!
As a travel advisor, you know that no two European vacations are alike. Whether your clients are planning a romantic escape, a multi-generational family trip, or an adventure across several countries, the key to building an unforgettable itinerary starts with a well-prepared Request for Itinerary (RFI).
To ensure we can create a seamless, personalized experience, it’s helpful to guide your clients through a few key questions before submitting their request. Below is everything they’ll need to consider before getting started.
Feel free to share this post directly with clients—or use it as a checklist during your consultation.
Who’s Traveling?
To customize your experience, we’ll need to know:
- The name of the lead passenger
- Number of travelers, including how many are adults (12+) and children (0–11)
When and Where?
Share your preferred travel details:
- What is the timeline to decide on this trip
- Departure and return dates
- Departure city and return city
- Estimated total trip budget
- Number of cities you’d like to visit
- Desired hotel star rating or style of hotel (local, boutique, or chain)
How Will You Travel?
We offer a variety of transportation options to match your travel style:
- Will airfare be included in the request
- Preferred class of service (Economy from $1100 pp, Premium Economy from $2400 pp, Business Class from $4500 pp round-trip)
- How you’d like to travel between cities (rail, coach, ferry, rental car, or flights booked separately)
What’s on the Itinerary?
Be ready to outline:
- Cities to visit in order, including the number of nights in each
- Any specific sightseeing interests or must-see destinations
- Requests related to accommodations or transfers
- Special notes, such as accessibility needs, celebratory occasions, or group preferences
Questions that Help us Customize
If you’re a travel advisor working with a client, we recommend discussing the following before submitting your request:
- Have you worked with these clients before?
- Have they traveled to Europe before?
- What are their top interests (culture, food, relaxation, history, etc.)?
- What kind of experience are they hoping to have?
- What do they need from their hotel—location, amenities, or style?
- What dates or seasons are they hoping to travel?
- Tell us about their most recent vacation (hotel style, excursions, etc.)?
