This private tour is a wonderful way to explore the treasures of the Vatican Museums and discover the impressive St. Peter's Basilica. In the afternoon, guests will meet their professional guide at their hotel and drive to Vatican City. With skip-the-line access, they will bypass the queues and begin the tour right away. One of the world's most-visited sites, the Vatican Museums are home to priceless works of art collected by the Roman Catholic Church over centuries, housed in rooms and galleries across the sprawling complex. Accompanied by their guide, guests will witness the grand spiral staircase, the frescoed rooms of Raphael, the Tapestry Gallery, and the Map Gallery, among others, finishing up at the legendary Sistine Chapel painted by Michelangelo. The tour will continue at the magnificent St. Peter’s Basilica, a masterpiece of ornate Renaissance art. Inside, guests will be awed by the giant domes and sculptures as they learn about its rich history. Afterward, guests will step out to St. Peter’s Square, surrounded by Bernini’s grand colonnade, and stop to take one last look at the basilica before they return to their hotel.

- Please dress appropriately as visitors in shorts, low-cut clothing or with uncovered shoulders may not be admitted into museums and churches.
- If you have a metal coated pacemaker, you will need to show your pacemaker identification card at the security check points.
- This tour is available on a reserved basis prior to departure.
- Due to high demand, this tour can only be confirmed closer to the travel date.
- Tour is not available on Sundays and on religious holidays – June 29, August 15, November 1, December 8, 25 and 26, January 1 and 6, February 11, March 19, and April 1.
- Permission from museum management is required for drawing or sketching inside the museum. Permission must also be obtained for using tripods and other professional equipment.
- Due to heightened security measures we do not recommend bringing umbrellas or strollers.
- After the Vatican Museums visit, it is up to the Vatican authorities to let the visitors directly into the Basilica with skip-the-line entrance or divert them out to St. Peter's Square. In case of the latter, participants will have to queue to enter the basilica.
