For this tour, guests will leave London behind and spend the day exploring the scenic English countryside in a comfortable airconditioned coach. Conducted in a small group, the tour ensures a more intimate and personalized experience for participants. The first destination is the riverside market town of Stratford-Upon-Avon, where William Shakespeare was born. There, guests will view the Holy Trinity Church where he lies buried, and buildings dating back to Shakespeare’s time, including his wife, Anne Hathaway’s cottage. They will enjoy a private, closed-door tour of Shakespeare’s Schoolroom and Guildhall, participating in a lesson and writing with quill and ink. There will be time for lunch at their own expense before the tour continues to Warwick Castle, constructed close to one millennium ago. Guests will view the castle’s ancient ramparts and towers, and visit Madame Tussauds for its waxwork displays. They can then stroll around the manicured gardens while the more adventurous visit the ghostly dungeons where prisoners were tortured! At Oxford, participants will see one of the world’s greatest and oldest universities. The colleges of the university are highlights themselves, with beautiful chapels, halls, and libraries housed within. After a short walking tour, guests will drive through the scenic Cotswolds-quintessential English countryside villages set amid rolling hills. Afterwards, guests will drive back to London where the tour ends.
