Shared Morning Tour of Giverny by Minibus
Travelers will spend an unforgettable day exploring the Impressionist village of Giverny on the banks of the River Seine in Normandy. This is the former home of the “Father of Impressionism,” Claude Monet, and his beautifully restored property at Giverny was where he completed some of his finest paintings. With its pink crushed brick façade and tasteful decor, the house exudes old-world charm and is also home to the master’s precious collection of Japanese engravings. The tour continues through the colorful gardens designed by Monet, which served as an artistic inspiration for many of his “paintings from nature.” Archways of climbing plants and flowering shrubs offer a palette of striking colors from spring to autumn. Lastly, visitors can admire the famous Water Garden dotted with lily ponds and surrounded by weeping willows. This setting for Monet’s pictorial universe of the “Water Lilies” draws artists and art lovers alike from all around the world.
