Small Group Tour: Downton Abbey and Village Tour
This tour is an exciting opportunity for guests to explore the film locations of the BAFTA-winning period drama, Downton Abbey. In the morning, guests will make their way to the Gloucester Road tube station, to meet their guide and board their private coach. They will travel to Bampton in Oxfordshire, known to fans as ‘Downton Village’. Here, guests will enjoy a guided tour of locations from the British TV series, such as the former home of Matthew Crawley, Downton hospital, and the local church. They will walk past the village pub, and the village green. Guests can take a break here. Afterward, they will ride to Highclere Castle, the main film location. Guests can explore the Castle, imagining the life of the aristocratic Crawleys’ and their household, ‘upstairs and downstairs’, a 100 years ago. They can buy lunch at the Castle, or enjoy their own picnic on the grounds. After the tour, guests will return to London in their coach.

Meeting point:
Gloucester Road tube station (Piccadilly, Circle, and District Lines); guide will meet guests next to the station exit outside the flower shop (Flowers Inc)
