Small Group Tour: Capri and Blue Grotto Boat Tour from Sorrento
On this enjoyable outing, guests will leave the city for a day to discover the breathtaking Amalfi Coast from the water and Capri, aptly named "The Island of the Gods." In the morning, they will be picked up from their hotel and driven to the waterfront where a sturdy "gozzo" or traditional wooden boat awaits. With an experienced skipper manning the vessel, and accompanied by a small group, they will sail along the Sorrento coast. Participants can take in beautiful views of the water and see charming settlements such as the quaint fishing village of Marina Grande. They will pass by the ruins of a Roman villa near Bagni della Regina Giovanna and view the beautiful waterfall that cascades down the rocks. The highlight of this tour is the visit to the magical Blue Grotto. This sea cave has unusually blue water that is the result of an extraordinary natural phenomenon involving sunlight. Once the tour concludes, guests will be dropped back at their centrally located hotel.
