Small Group: Omaha Beach Sector Afternoon Tour
Guests will embark on a journey to explore the historic sites of the Omaha Beach sector on this small-group afternoon tour. They will meet their English-speaking guide and set off in a comfortable vehicle to visit Omaha Beach, the site of the tragic D-Day landings where the 1st and 29th Infantry Divisions faced heavy losses, earning it the nickname “Bloody Omaha.” Participants will also visit Pointe du Hoc, where they will learn about the daring exploits of the 2nd Battalion U.S. Rangers, who scaled the cliffs under heavy enemy fire. The tour continues to the American Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, where guests will pay their respects to the thousands of soldiers who sacrificed their lives for liberty.
