Small Group: Mont Saint Michel Tour
On this tour, you will learn about the history and beauty of Mont Saint Michel, a UNESCO world heritage site. You will have a guided tour of the Abbey, a sanctuary Saint Michael the Archangel ordered the bishop of Avranches to build in 708. The monks continued building until the French Revolution in 1791 when it became a prison. It was named a French Historic Monument in 1864 and was restored and opened to the public. Learn about the symbolism of the architecture as your guide takes you through the rooms. Take in a breathtaking view if you climb the stairs to the top. Your guide will also take you through the cobbled streets of the village. There will be a 1 hour stop for lunch (not included).
