Small Group: Highlights of the US Sectors
Here you can visit some of the D-Day sites where the greatest amphibious landing in history took place on the coast of Normandy. This detailed program will allow you to see the main sites where the American forces fought on this famous day. You will visit the two beaches where the United States First Army stormed ashore along with the impressive fortifications built by the Germans to repel this inevitable attack. You will be given time to visit the American Cemetery and its moving Interpretive Center, situated to overlook Omaha Beach where you can honor the soldiers who did not return home after the war.
Sights include: Sainte-Mere-Eglise, Airborne Museum of Sainte-Mere, Utah Beach, Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach and American Cemetery.
