Small Group: Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill Morning Tour with Skip the Line Entrance, Guide and Hotel Pick up
For this fascinating tour themed around ancient Rome, guests will be setting off from their hotel with a knowledgeable guide in tow. Skipping the long queues, they will immediately begin exploring the impressive Colosseum, believed to be the largest standing amphitheater in the world. Also known as the Flavian Amphitheater, it served as the venue of numerous gladiatorial events and, in its heyday, could accommodate an audience of over 50,000. This small group experience ensures that guests get a close look at some of the building’s original design elements. Next, they will enjoy a leisurely stroll around Palatine Hill, the oldest inhabited part of the city that is now an open-air museum. With earphones and a radio receiver provided, guests can enjoy every word of the guide’s commentary while they explore. After taking in breathtaking views of the city and making use of the ample photo opportunities, the group will head to the legendary Roman Forum. The last stop on the itinerary is a site of several ancient government buildings. After the tour concludes at this centrally located attraction, guests can make their way back to their hotel.
