During this small group Secret Food Tour Trastevere, guests will embark on a 3 – 3 ½ hour culinary journey with 5 stops, limited to 12 people at 6 PM. The tour will be conducted in English and will focus on exploring local food and culture, offering an award-winning experience.
Guests will experience the ancient Roman history and traditions as they wander through the narrow streets of Trastevere, where they'll hear the pleasant warm accent of the locals. They'll taste some great street food bites, traditional pasta plates, and porchetta from the hills surrounding the capital. Everything will be paired with amazing wines from the finest Roman vineyards.
Experienced guides will lead guests on this savory adventure, showing them the best spots of the area and revealing the hidden secrets behind each meal they try. Quality drinks will be served at some stops, including a glass of DOP Prossecco and local Roman wine, fiori di zucca (fried courgette flower stuffed with mozzarella and anchovies), porchetta and beer, Roman and Italian cheeses and jams, two fine Italian red wines, trapizzino (crisp freshly baked bread filled with classic Roman stews), an artisanal pastry, and an Amaro and liquor tasting. Additionally, there will be a secret dish included.
