Shared Afternoon Sagrada Familia Plus Artistic - The Best of Gaudi Tour (nonrefundable)
This afternoon, guests discover the architectural masterpieces of Antoni Gaudi, the Sagrada Familia Basilica, an iconic landmark of Barcelona, and the UNESCO World Heritage site of Park Güell. Guests will meet their tour guide at Calle Sardenya, and make their way to the basilica. The church, with its flying buttresses and magnificent towers, remains under construction even after nearly a century of Gaudi’s death. They can admire his Latin cross plan with five aisles, the enormous nave, and ornate ceiling. They can also visit the basilica museum before reaching Park Güell. The Park has two parts, a forested public space and a monument area featuring Gaudi’s legendary works. Here guests discover the celebrated Catalan architect’s signature styles like the trencadís or mosaic work with broken tiles, and curved structures. They also visit Gaudi’s UNESCO-listed modernist buildings of La Pedrera and Casa Batlló. While La Pedrera was built as an apartment and office block, Casa Batlló was designed as a residential building.
