Shared Afternoon Rijksmuseum Tour
This afternoon, guests will discover the paintings of the Dutch Golden Age at Amsterdam’s famous Rijksmuseum, the national museum of the Netherlands. Accompanied by a local guide, this shared tour will provide guests with insights into some of the greatest works of Dutch art and its history. In the afternoon, guests will make their way to the Cobra Cafe at Museumplein to meet their tour guide. As their guide walks them through displays of various Dutch masterpieces, guests have the chance to admire the museum's architecture. They will discover Titans like Rembrandt, Jan Steen, and Vermeer, celebrated for his intimate household scenes of 17th century middle class life. Guests will view Rembrandt’s portraits, including his masterpiece, ‘The Night Watch’, and Vermeer’s ‘The Milkmaid’. They will also explore medieval Delftware, Cuypers Library, and the beloved 17th century dolls’ houses. After the guided tour, guests can continue to explore the Rijksmuseum on their own, or enjoy downtime at the café.
