Shared Tour: Pompeii & Herculaneum Tour from Sorrento with Lunch
On this day-long tour, guests will spend the day exploring the ancient ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In the morning, they will reach the Achille Lauro parking area to board their tour vehicle. They will drive down from Sorrento to Pompeii, where guests will tour the Archeological Park of Pompeii. The Park captures the life and times of the Roman city buried live by the volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in the ancient age. Guests will visit the ruins of Pompeii’s ancient buildings like Roman baths, private villas, and theaters. This will be followed by a tour of the Archeological Park of Herculaneum, which is arguably better preserved. There will be time to explore the ancient Roman fishing town with its houses that still contain elegant mosaics, ancient furniture and the remains of its terrified inhabitants. Afterwards, they will enjoy lunch with appetizers, a main course paired with local wine, or a soft drink, and dessert. At the end of the tour, guests will drive back to Sorrento.
