On this tour, guests will explore the ancient ruins of Pompeii, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the morning, they will make their way to the Achille Lauro parking area to board their tour vehicle. Then, a short drive will take them from Sorrento to Pompeii, where guests will meet their local guide for a 2-hour tour. With expert commentary and guidance along the way, they will explore the famous Archeological Park of Pompeii, which captures the life and times of the Roman city buried live by the volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in the ancient age. They will visit the old thermal baths, fora, and villas built by Pompeii’s prosperous Roman citizens. There will also be time to visit the Villa of the Mysteries with its restored frescoes, the Amphitheater of Pompeii, and the Gladiators Barracks, among other sites. After an immersive tour of this historic city, guests will be driven back to Sorrento.
