Guests will experience an unforgettable morning exploring Montserrat in Barcelona. The tour will begin with a bus ride up the mountain. Driving past unique rock forms resembling human or animal shapes, guests will be treated to breathtaking views of the surroundings. A charming Benedictine Monastery awaits at the top, home to the famous statue of the Virgin of Montserrat (The Black Madonna), the patron saint of Catalonia who is said to have performed many miracles. While exploring the monastery, guests will also step into the Royal Basilica to see the 12th-century Romanesque carving of Virgin and the place where she is enshrined. The monastery receives her pilgrims till date, a thousand years after it was originally founded. The tour will conclude with some free time to visit the audiovisual exhibition about the history of Montserrat and enjoy a tasting of its local liquors.
