Guests will embark on a day-long exploration through the countryside in Kent, often referred to as the "Garden of English". From the Victoria Coach Station in London, they will set out in a comfortable air-conditioned coach. Kent is known for its verdant countryside, historic landmarks, and picturesque scenery. Guests will begin their exploration with a visit to the 900-year-old Leeds Castle, which many have called "The Loveliest Castle in the World." This castle has seen its fair share of action through the centuries, beginning as a Norman bastion and then serving as a royal palace before finally being turned into a countryside retreat. Guests will learn about the castle’s fascinating history, including its 1930s restoration by Lady Baillie, and stroll through vibrant gardens along the tranquil River Len. The next stop is the historic city of Canterbury, where guests will explore the charming medieval streets lined with pubs, cafes, and stores. They will also visit the UNESCO-listed Canterbury Cathedral, an impressive Gothic-style building with a dark past, where Archbishop Thomas Becket was martyred in the 12th century. Following this event, it has served as one of the most important pilgrimage centers in Europe. The final stop on the tour is at the stunning White Cliffs of Dover overlooking the English Channel. Guests will learn more about the region's military history and stop for photos before they return to London.
