Shared Half Day Ancient Rome Afternoon Walking Tour
On this engaging walking tour, guests will visit the prominent landmarks of ancient Rome. In the afternoon, participants will meet their local guide in front of the Arch of Constantine and set off at a leisurely pace. They will visit iconic attractions such as the Colosseum, which once hosted gladiatorial events. The Roman Forum, the site of several ancient primeval government buildings, and Palatine Hill, the oldest inhabited part of the city, are also on the itinerary. Guests will enjoy skip-the-line entrance to the archeological area where they can admire the magnificent ruins. With the included headsets, they can enjoy the guide’s riveting narrative about the founding of Rome and life in the bygone eras. The tour will continue along Via Sacra or the Sacred Way, past the impressive Temples of Vesta Antoninus and Faustina. The excavated remains of the ornate Basilica Julia and Basilica Emilia are also nearby. Guests will finish at the archeological area, leaving with lasting memories of this historic city.

- Visitors must dress appropriately for church visits with their shoulders and knees covered.
- Tour does not operate on the first Sunday of each month, January 1, March 30, May 1, or December 25.
- This tour is provided on a reserved basis prior to departure.
- Due to high demand, this tour cannot be confirmed until closer to the date.
- Backpacks, rucksacks, large personal bags and luggage are banned inside the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and Roman Forum.
