Shared Tour: Castles of the Loire Tour by Motorcoach
On this day-long tour, guests will visit three magnificent chateaus in the idyllic Loire Valley. A guided tour is the perfect way to discover these fine examples of French Renaissance architecture, surrounded by picturesque gardens. The tour begins with an early start from Paris in a shared motorcoach and a drive across the scenic countryside. The first stop of the day is the impressive Chateau de Chambord that was built as a hunting lodge for French king Francis I. The largest chateau in the Loire Valley, it exemplifies the elegant French country home aesthetic. Next, guests will visit the 16th-century Chateau de Chenonceau set along the river Cher. They can enjoy a stroll around the themed gardens and maze that surround it, before resuming the journey to Chateau de Cheverny. This elegant 17th-century mansion is considered the most decorated and furnished of all the chateaus in the Loire Valley. After exploring the six gardens of Cheverny, guests will head back to Paris.
