Shared Tour: Bridget Jones Walking Tour
On this unique walking tour, guests will step into the world of one of the most entertaining singletons in London – “Bridget Jones”. Famous for being the titular character of writer Helen Fielding’s column in The Independent back in 1995, the Bridget Jones phenomenon went on to result in three successful novels and three major films. Led by a knowledgeable guide, the tour will take guests to as many as 12 filming locations, including Bridget's home above a London pub, Daniel Cleaver's bachelor pad, and the church where Daniel's memorial service was held after his plane crash. Guests will learn fascinating trivia about the actors Renee Zellweger, Colin Firth, and Hugh Grant, and revisit famous scenes, including the memorable diary kiss scene at the end of the first film. The tour will shed light on what it was like to be a single woman in London at the turn of the 21st century as chronicled in the book and film. Guests will also pass many of London’s famous landmarks such as Tower Bridge, London Bridge, and St Pauls Cathedral. Along the way, there will be plenty opportunities for taking photos, viewing locations of memorable scenes up close, and maybe even bumping into a real-life Mr. Darcy!
