On this food tour, guests will spend the day exploring popular food streets of Naples and tasting some of its most iconic street bites. In the morning, guests will reach the Achille Lauro parking area, to board their tour vehicle. They will drive down from Sorrento to Naples, where they will meet their local guide who will accompany them on the street food tour. Guests will stroll down Spaccanapoli, the city’s narrow old main street, as well as the famous Pignasecca Street Market. They will sample bites from streetside stalls, selling local fruits, and delicious Neapolitan nibbles. Guests will discover the best eats on the go, like the folded pizza a portafoglio and cuoppo di frittura of cod or calamari, wrapped in paper cones. They will taste delicate shell-shaped sfogliatella with creamy fillings of ricotta, candied citrus peels, and cinnamon, or other variations. They will also sample the soft and fluffy Babà Napoletano soaked in rum. Also on the list will be the city’s beloved Taralli, flavored with pepper and almonds, that are traditionally munched with chilled beer or iced spumante. Later, guests will drive back to Sorrento.
