Shared Island Tour of Paros & Antiparos
Walk through the old town towards the Venetian castle (13th century) and to the church of Saint Konstantinos and Eleni, which is situated on the highest spot of Parikia town. After, take a short walk towards the most famous, and one of the oldest churches of allover Greece, the Panagia Ekatontapiliani, (our lady of the hundred doors), built around 400 AC.
Continue to the port of Pounda, where you will take the ferry to cross over to Antiparos. Stroll through the picturesque little town and visit the Venetian fortress (15th century) which is still inhabited.
Back on to Paros, the bus will take you South, passing the villages of Alyki and Drios, you will reach Pisso Livadi, for a short break. Free time for lunch or swimming.
The traditional Cycladic architecture you meet again later, as you reach Lefkes, the former capitol of Paros, with lots of green and breathtaking views. Continue your tour to Marathi, tto the ancient marble quarries, where the world famous marble was mined for some of the most known statues and sculptures in ancient times (e.g. the Venus from Milos).
Later in the afternoon you will arrive in Naoussa, the beautiful fishing village with all its Cycladic charm. Take a little walk through its small roads and the port with the colorful fishing boats. Then return to the hotel later in the afternoon.
