Private Walking Tour through the City of Gaudi
On this private tour, guests will discover some of the finest works by renowned architect Antoni Gaudi as well as other prominent landmarks in Barcelona. Known for his colorful and distinctive style, Gaudi used a variety of materials including ceramics, wrought ironwork, and stained glass in his works. The tour begins on the lively La Rambla Street at the heart of the city where guests will see the Guell Palace designed by Gaudi for a local industrialist in the late 19th century. They will also get a close look at the exquisite detailing on the cast iron lampposts of Plaza Real, yet another Gaudi creation. Participants will visit La Boqueria market next and see the displays of fresh produce, artisanal products, and delicious seafood. The ancient Roman tombs and the Canaletes Fountain are also on the itinerary. Guests can soak in the artsy vibe at the bustling Plaza de Cataluna as they walk to Casa Batllo, a Gaudi masterpiece. Popularly known as the ‘House of Bones’, this mansion has a colorful mosaic facade and a roof resembling a dragon’s spine.
