Sights and information on this tour includes learning about the world’s first female Rabbi, feminism in East & West Germany, the life and murder of Rosa Luxemburg, Berlin’s first female mayor, seeing some of Berlin’s oldest streets and the Jewish quarter, visiting the Memorial to Victims of War and Tyranny, learning about Queen Luise, the Women’s protest of 1943 at Rosenstraße, influential Berlin feminists of the ’80s and ’90s, and how “Rubble Women” cleared the post-WWII streets of Berlin.
