Guests will spend an exciting day discovering the erstwhile French royal residence of Chateau de Versailles. Accompanied by a private guide, this promises to be a personalized and enriching experience. Guests will be picked up from their hotel in Paris and travel to Versailles in an air-conditioned vehicle. This UNESCO-listed complex was the royal residence from 1682 until the French Revolution of 1789. With skip-the-line access, guests will head straight inside and start by viewing the opulent Petit Trianon, the Grand Trianon, and Queen Marie Antoinette's estate. At the King's Grand Apartment, participants will see seven purpose-built rooms done up in lavish Italian style. They will explore the Hall of Mirrors where the Treaty of Versailles was signed to end WWI, before passing through the War Room, the ornate Queen's Grand Apartment, and the Hall of French History, among others. The guide will regale them with intriguing stories about the monarchs – from King Louis XVI to his wife Marie Antoinette. After admiring the palace's Baroque architecture, art collection, and antique furniture, guests will buy tickets to explore the beautiful gardens on their own. The fountains, ponds, and colorful flower beds across this formal garden are wonderfully picturesque. Depending on the day of the week, participants may be able to view the musical fountain show. They will visit Marie Antoinette's Hamlet where she hosted intimate gatherings. As part of this exclusive experience, guests will eat a delicious three-course lunch paired with red wine. Afterwards, they will return to their vehicle and travel back to Paris.
