Private Secrets of the Gothic Quarter Walking Tour 10:00AM
Guests will embark on a walking discovery tour of Barcelona’s most fascinating neighborhood – Barri Gòtic or the Gothic Quarter. In the morning, participants will meet their guide and head to the legendary, 2,000-year-old neighborhood. They will first visit Ciutadella Park, a green oasis at the heart of the city, showcasing beautiful architectural buildings and a gorgeous waterfall sculpture. They will learn about the history and significance of the many attractions within the park from their knowledgeable guide. Continuing along the narrow, medieval streets, travelers will then see highlights of the area such as the Jewish Quarter, the ancient Roman Catholic Cathedral, and the 14th-century public square of Plaza del Rey. The exploration continues at the Roman Walls that once fortified the city, and the Gothic Basilica de Santa Maria del Mar. As part of this private tour, participants will sample delicious tapas paired with a refreshing drink at a local restaurant hand-picked by their guide. Once the tour concludes, guests can easily travel back to their hotel from this central spot.
