Private Normandy Landing Beaches or Historic Normandy and Mont St Michel 3 Day Tour with Fully Licensed English Speaking Driver-Guide
From ancient riverside villages, to the hard-won beaches of D-Day, to the one-of-a-kind island monastery of Mont-Saint-Michel, Normandy is full of surprises to discover over three unforgettable days with a private driver guide.
Day 1: Enjoy Normandy’s peaceful side with lovely tours of historic Rouen and romantic Honfleur, located on the Seine estuary. Spend the afternoon in Bayeux, which has history dating from the Middle Ages to WWII, when Bayeux became the first French town to be liberated by the Allies on June 7th, 1944.
Day 2. Your morning includes Arromanches, the German coastal artillery battery of Longues Sur Mer, the American Cemetery in Colleville, and the American Interpretive Center. The afternoon will consist of two more important sites; Omaha Beach and cliffside Pointe du Hoc, which was attacked and captured by allied troops after a daring climb.
Day 3. Spend the day on a private tour of Mont-Saint-Michel. The one-of-a-kind island monastery and commune is set on an island about a half mile off the coast that is only accessible during low tide via a path that Celtic, Roman, and Christian worshipers have dutifully taken since at least the 6th century A.D.
