On this morning tour, guests will explore the ancient ruins of Pompeii with their private English-speaking guide. After a leisurely lunch, guests will be picked up from their hotel in a chauffeured vehicle. They will drive up from Amalfi to Pompeii, where they will meet their local guide. Guests will tour the famous Archeological Park of Pompeii, which captures the life and times of the Roman city buried live by the volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in the ancient age. They will visit the ancient thermal baths, fora, and villas built by Pompeii’s prosperous Roman citizens. There will also be a visit to the Villa of the Mysteries with its famously restored frescoes, the ancient Amphitheater of Pompeii, and the Gladiators Barracks. The tour also leads to other highlights of Pompeii such as the Gymnasium, the House of Vetti, and the House of Menandro. After an immersive tour learning about this historic city, guests will be driven back to Amalfi.
