Private Morning Half Day Oxford Tour with Driver-Guide
On this private tour, guests will spend the morning exploring the university town of Oxford with a knowledgeable driver-guide. Located on the River Thames, England's oldest university and its gardens cover much of the city center. The journey will begin at Christchurch College, where the impressive chapel doubles as the city’s cathedral, welcoming visitors and pilgrims from around the world. Christchurch's Dining Hall inspired the Great Hall of the beloved Harry Potter films, and its walls are adorned with numerous portraits of famous alumni – from prime ministers and churchmen to philosophers, and authors like Lewis Carroll, who taught at the college. Afterwards, guests may choose to visit New College to view its chapel, which has retained some of the medieval stained glass windows. Alternatively, they can stroll through the university town discovering its 15th-century narrow alleyways bustling with students and atmospheric taverns. In the afternoon, guests will drive back to their hotel in London.
