DAY 1:

In the morning visit the Cathedral Notre-Dame de Chartres, the lavish 800-year-old UNESCO recognized church that marks the high point of French Gothic art. Next, enjoy private tours of Chambord and Chateau de Blois, two of the Loire Valley’s finest chateaus and stunning examples of the grand architecture and gardens that make chateaus such icons of the French aesthetic. Spend the evening exploring the idyllic medieval town of Amboise.


DAY 2:

Start the day at Villandry, whose lovingly designed and impeccably maintained garden is renowned as the most beautiful in the entire Loire Valley. Next, take a private tour of Fontevraud Abbey, the final resting place of Richard the Lionheart that was built in the 12th century as one of the few monasteries to house both nuns and priests.


DAY 3:

Start the day with two private guided tours: cliffside Château d’Amboise and the elegant Château du Clos Lucé, where Leonard da Vinci spent his prolific final years. The afternoon will be spent at the Château de Chenonceau, which spans the River Cher and is uniquely beautiful.
