Private Half Day Athens Sightseeing and Acropolis Museum Tour
On this private tour, guests will explore the prominent landmarks of Athens in a private, chauffeured vehicle with a local expert. The exploration begins with a photo stop at the impressive Panathenaic stadium, built wholly of marble to host the first modern Olympic Games of 1896. Next, guests will drive to the ruins of the Temple of Zeus, dedicated to the king of the Olympian gods. They will then drive past the National Garden, and the Hellenic Parliament building flanked by ceremonial guards. At the UNESCO-listed Acropolis of Athens, guests will explore the magnificent Parthenon, the Propylaia, and the Erechtheion. The temple of Athena Nike is also located within this area, and the guide will share the history and legends associated with these iconic structures. The last stop on the itinerary is the Acropolis Museum where guests will view the collection of over 3,000 oreserved artifacts collected from this archaelogical site. After the tour concludes, guests will drive back to their hotel in Athens.
