Guests will spend a memorable day exploring the historic town of Stratford-upon-Avon and the impressive Warwick Castle. Setting out from London in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle, they will first visit the vibrant university town of Oxford. The next stop is Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill and the filming location of several period dramas. Later, they will visit a quintessential English village in the Cotswolds, stopping to admire the picturesque country homes set amid rolling hills. At Stratford, guests will take time to explore the charming medieval market town set by the Avon River. This is also the birthplace of the famous 16th-century playwright and poet, William Shakespeare, who, along with his wife, Anne Hathaway, lies buried at the local Holy Trinity Church. Guests will visit the house-turned-museum where Shakespeare was born, and stroll through the bustling market streets. The final stop of the tour is at Warwick Castle, constructed by William the Conqueror in 1068. Since then, the castle has undergone many changes – stone has replaced wood, towers and a gatehouse have been added, and the grounds have been landscaped, to add to its beauty and majesty. Guests will spend a relaxing afternoon exploring the medieval fortress with its waxworks, archery displays, and dungeon. Afterwards, they will return to the hotel in London.
