On this tour, guests will spend the day exploring the ancient ruins of Pompeii and visiting Mount Vesuvius. After breakfast, they will be picked up from their hotel in a chauffeured vehicle. They will drive down from Positano to Pompeii, where they will meet their local guide. Over the next two hours, guests will tour the famous Archeological Park of Pompeii, which captures the life and times of the Roman city buried live by the volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in the ancient age. Guests will visit ruins like the Villa of the Mysteries, or Villa dei Misteri, with its restored frescoes, the Amphitheater of Pompeii, and the Temple of Apollo. They will also see the sprawling House of the Faun – stretched across two blocks, it is the largest private villa in the ruined city. This excursion will be followed by a visit to Mount Vesuvius and its crater. Guests have the option to buy themselves lunch at the modern city of Pompei. Later, they will drive back to their accommodation or a convenient location in Positano.

• Handbags, backpacks and cases larger than 11.5 x 11.5 x 5.75 inches are not allowed inside the Pompeii and Herculaneum excavations.
• Guests are advised to wear comfortable closed-toed shoes for walking in the sand at Pompeii and Vesuvius.
