Private Full Day Oxford, Blenheim & Windsor Tour with Driver-Guide
Travelers will spend an exciting day exploring impressive architectural and traditional English country homes. Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, their adventure will begin with a visit to Oxford, home to England’s oldest university. As they walk through this city of magnificent spires, secluded gardens, and historic colleges, guests will marvel at the stunning architecture and immerse themselves in its 1,000-year-old history. The next stop is the Blenheim Palace, the 300-year-old country seat of the Dukes of Malborough, where Winston Churchill was born. Set amid vast acres, it was built as a reward for John Churchill to commemorate his bravery in the war against the French in 1704. After a tour of the estate, guests will proceed to another majestic country home-this one belonging to the royal family. Windsor Castle, set in Berkshire, sits amid 500 acres of parkland. Guests will view the lavishly furnished State Apartments and St. George’s Chapel, where monarchs, including Queen Elizabeth II, Henry VIII, and Charles I, are laid to rest. Guests can also admire the Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House with its miniature furnishings, a stocked wine cellar, and functioning bathrooms. At the end of this immersive tour about British heritage and architecture, guests will return to their hotel in London.
