On this tour, guests will spend the day exploring the ancient ruins of Herculaneum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and visiting Mount Vesuvius. After breakfast, they will be picked up from their hotel in a chauffeured vehicle. They will drive down from Sorrento to Herculaneum, where they will meet their local guide. Thereafter, guests will tour the famous Archaeological Park of Herculaneum, which captures the life and times of the Roman city buried live by the volcanic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in the ancient age. They will also explore the ancient Roman fishing town with its unbelievably well-preserved houses that still contain elegant mosaics, Roman furniture, and the remains of its terrified inhabitants. Visitors have the option to buy themselves lunch from restaurants near the park, followed by a visit to Mount Vesuvius and its crater. Later, they will drive back to their accommodation or a convenient location in Sorrento.
