On this tour, guests will spend the morning discovering Florence, with its UNESCO World Heritage city center, and the Basilica of Santa Croce, among other historic landmarks. After breakfast, guests will be picked up from their hotel in a chauffeured vehicle. They will drive down to the historic city center, known for its concentration of artistic masterpieces. They will visit the Michelangelo Piazza featuring a replica of Michelangelo’s David and scenic viewpoints of the city. This will be followed by a guided tour of the Piazza and Basilica of Santa Croce. This tour offers a wonderful opportunity to explore this strikingly beautiful church with an expert, noting the frescoes of Giotto, and the tombs of towering historic figures like Galileo, Machiavelli, and Michelangelo. Guests will also drive past other iconic sites like the Piazza Signoria, and the Palazzo Vecchio, a medieval palace complex. Last but not least, they will view the Duomo Complex with its majestic cathedral and iconic terracotta-tiled dome and bell tower.
