Private Brittany and Mont St Michel 2 Day Tour with Fully Licensed English Speaking Driver-Guide
DAY 1:
Once in Normandy, we will visit Pegasus Bridge, which became famous during World War II along with Remagen and Arnhem, because of being captured by Major John Howard and gliderborne company. We will then continue on to Arromanches to visit the remains of the artificial harbor, built by the Allied Forces in less than 15 days and watch a movie that makes you relive the feelings of the Allied soldiers in the first hours of D-Day. Next, we will go on to Longues sur Mer and see the German coastal artillery battery that played a crucial role in the D-Day landings firing on the Allied shipping. After lunch in a typical Norman restaurant

, we will go to the American Cemetery of Saint Laurent followed by a visit of Omaha Beach where so many young Americans lost their lives. To finish the first day of the tour, we will visit Pointe du Hoc where Colonel James Rudder and his Rangers accomplished a memorable feat on June 6th, 1944. We will overnight in the Bayeux area (accommodation not included in tour cost).
DAY 2:
The tour will begin with a guided visit of the Mont St. Michel Abbey founded by Aubert in the early 8th century. It was a major cultural and pilgrimage center during the middle ages. Here you can see the Romanesque Church, with the monk’s Cloisters and Refectory, as well as various chapels such as St. Stephen, St. Martin, Our Lady Underground, St. Mary Magdalene and the Crypt of the 30 Candles. , there will be time to explore the steep-sided narrow streets of the town before returning to Paris.
