Along the way, our knowledgeable driver-guide will also recommend family-owned champagne houses that guests could visit, such as Roger-Constant Lemaire, Ployez-Jacquemart, or Tribaut. At Moet & Chandon, an expert will meet them and share his knowledge about the intricacies of champagne-making, right from picking grapes to bottling. Guests can then choose to participate in a champagne tasting session before returning to their vehicle. Afterwards, there will be time for lunch at their own expense at one of the local restaurants that their guide can recommend. Next on the itinerary is the charming hamlet of Hautvillers, the hometown of the Benedictine monk Dom Perignon, who is considered the pioneer of the champagne-making process. After visiting a church in the hamlet, participants will continue to Reims, often called the unofficial capital of the Champagne region for its numerous champagne houses. There, guests can set off on a guided tour of Notre Dame Cathedral or choose to visit yet another champagne house before heading back to Paris.
