Harry Potter in Edinburgh: Private Half-Day Walking Tour
On this private walking tour, guests will step into the enchanting world of J.K. Rowling's Edinburgh, retracing the steps that inspired the Harry Potter series. Beginning outside the Balmoral Hotel, where Rowling completed "Deathly Hallows", guests will learn how the city sparked her imagination. The guide will share information about the iconic sites, including the Writers' Museum and Victoria Street, which inspired the look of Diagon Alley with its colorful shops. Along the way, they will pass Edinburgh City Chambers to view Rowling’s handprints and stop at Greyfriars Kirkyard, where names from the series, such as Tom Riddle, are etched into history. Guests will admire the majestic George Heriot’s School, which inspired Hogwarts. The tour will also take them to the Heart of Midlothian, a mosaic marking a site of historical significance and inspiration for Rowling.
