The vibrant capital city of Denmark, Copenhagen offers a fantastic blend of historic charm and modernity. It's famed for its picturesque canals and colorful waterfront, especially in the Nyhavn district. The renowned Tivoli Gardens, one of the world's oldest amusement parks, continues to draw in visitors with its its whimsical rides, lush gardens, and seasonal events. Copenhagen's architecture is worth mentioning, from the regal Amalienborg Palace, the royal residence, to the medieval Rosenborg Castle, home to the crown jewels. The National Gallery of Denmark and the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art also feature stellar piece in their collection. Copenhagen's streets are supremely bike-friendly, with most locals and tourists alike choosing to travel by bike in the summer months. Visitors should also spend time exploring its rich culinary scene - which rivals that of Paris and Tokyo with its traditional Danish fare and numerous Michelin-rated restaurants.

Day 1: Arrival in Copenhagen
Welcome to Scandinavia! Your group will be met by a guide at the airport and escorted on a panoramic city tour of Copenhagen. The tour will finish at the Copenhagen hotel, where your group can check in and then have the remainder of the afternoon to continue discovering this beautiful city. If your group arrives before the official check-in time, they can leave their bags for storage at the reception. In the evening, guests will gather for a group welcome dinner at the hotel's restaurant.
Panoramic City Tour of Copenhagen
Traveling by private coach, guests will see the main sights of the Danish capital beginning with a drive down Hans Christian Andersen Boulevard, which runs past the Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park. They will cross the picturesque canal and drive past Christiansborg Palace, the seat of the Danish Parliament. As they pass the beautiful, historic Stock Exchange, your group will see Kongens Nytorv (King's New Square) with its Royal Theater. They then continue to Nyhavn, a street well known for the variety of its nightlife, and then see Amalienborg Palace, the Danish Royal Family's winter residence. The tour will then take them to one of the most famous sights in Copenhagen: the Little Mermaid statue, located in Copenhagen's lovely harbor. As part of the tour, guests will also see Rosenborg Castle, which was built in the Dutch-Renaissance style by the Danish King Christian IV as a summer residence.
Day 2: Copenhagen
After breakfast in the hotel, a local guide will meet your group in the lobby and accompany it to Tivoli Gardens, an iconic symbol of Denmark. This historic park served as one of Walt Disney's inspirations to create Disneyland. Inside the park, the guide will show your group many of Tivoli Gardens' best attractions. Afterward, the group members can continue exploring the park on their own and at their own pace. The remainder of the day is free, so guests can stay on at Tivoli Gardens. Alternatively, they could consider visiting one of Copenhagen's museums or check out the city's fantastic shopping scene. Before the guide finishes showing your group around Tivoli Gardens, guests can ask for more suggestions of what to see and do during their free time in Copenhagen.

Often celebrated as the "Queen of the Hanseatic Leagues", the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lubeck boasts a rich history dating back to 1143. The Old Town, encircled by water, features a stunning array of brick gothic architecture, including the Holsten Gate and St Mary's Church with its seven spires. The city's narrow cobbled streets and winding alleyways have remained intact through the centuries, showcasing its Hanseatic history and invoking a feeling of going back in time. Visitors can enjoy picturesque views along the Trave River, and visit some of Lubeck's vibrant markets for a deeper understanding of the city's culture and traditions.

Day 3: Arrival in Lubeck
After breakfast and check-out, your group will board a private coach and travel south from Copenhagen to Rodby, at Denmark's southern tip. From there your group will cross with the ferry into Germany. When you arrive to Puttgarden, a local German coach driver will meet your group at the ferry terminal and drive them to the beautiful city of Lubeck, the formal capital of the Hanseatic League. Once your group has checked into the hotel in Lubeck, they will have some free time to look around this historic city, whose entire Old Town is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. We recommend trying one Lubeck's best-loved delicacies: marzipan. Later in the evening, your group will dine together at the hotel's restaurant.

Day 4 - 5
Transfer to Bremen by Private Coach

A historic Hanseatic city in northwestern Germany, Bremen features a charming Old Town with a UNESCO-listed Town Hall and the Roland Statue, which is a symbol of its trade history. Nestled by the Weser River, visitors can amble along the picturesque Schnoor Quarter, which has preserved its medieval heritage till date, characterized by quaint, colorful houses. The Schlachte promenade, lined with cafes and beer gardens, is another highlight of Bremen, where visitors can spend a leisurely afternoon watching boats come and go. Bremen also has a thriving arts scene, and several art galleries such as the Kunsthalle, hosting shows of interesting local and international art regularly.

Day 4: Arrival in Bremen
This morning, a local guide will lead your group on a fascinating tour of Lubeck. Once the tour has finished, your group will have some time to eat, buy souvenirs, or continue exploring Lubeck. By mid-afternoon everyone will regroup and re-board the coach to travel to the historic city of Bremen. Upon arrival at the hotel in Bremen, your group will check in and enjoy the evening at leisure.
Guided Sightseeing Tour of Lubeck
Lubeck was the formal capital and "queen city" of the Hanseatic League. The entire Old Quarter is located on an island in the Trave River and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today's tour will commence after breakfast in the hotel. The tour will feature the Old Town gates, the Town Hall, and the many beautiful churches including Marienkirche, the world's tallest brick church. Other sights include the historic salt warehouses and the Medieval Hospital of the Holy Ghost. The tour will conclude by lunchtime, and your guide will be happy to share restaurant recommendations upon request.



Day 5 - 7
Transfer to Luneburg by Private Coach

Luneburg
Luneburg participated in the Hanseatic Diet starting in 1363 and remained in the League right through to the 17th century. The city's several-hundred-year monopoly on salt production in the region linked the city with Lubeck, the chief Hanseatic city. The cityscape attests to the city's earlier wealth and intensive trading during the Hanseatic boom. Luneburg boasts beautifully preserved buildings, including the Lüneburg Town Hall, a blend of Gothic and Renaissance styles. The Old Town is famous for its "Leaning houses", while the riverside Wasserviertel district offers charming cafes and restaurants.

Day 5: Arrival in Luneburg
This morning, your group will set out on another exciting day of Hanseatic sightseeing! A local guide will meet your group in the lobby and show it historic Bremen's best sightseeing attractions. At the end of the tour, guests will have free time to buy souvenirs or look around on their own. By mid-afternoon, your group will reconvene and board the coach to transfer to the nearby city of Luneburg. In the evening, your group will dine together at the hotel's restaurant in Luneburg.
Guided Sightseeing Tour of Bremen
The 1,200 year old city of Bremen, located on the Weser River, was a major trading port in the Hanseatic League. Today, it continues to be an important commercial and industrial hub. This morning will begin with a walking tour through Bremen's Old Town. Guests will walk along the moats of the former medieval city walls in Wallangen Park and through the bustling pedestrianized zones, accompanied by a knowledgeable guide. The highlight of the tour will undoubtedly be Market Square, dominated by the "Weser Renaissance" facade of the UNESCO-listed Town Hall, and statute of Roland. Afterward, the tour continues along artistic Böttcherstraße, and the Schlachte riverside promenade, after which guests will have some free time to explore on their own.
Day 6: Luneburg
This morning, a local guide will lead your group on a sightseeing tour of the historic city of Luneburg. The tour will take guests through the city's historic streets, showcasing its medieval architecture, gabled houses and the famed Lüneburg Town Hall. After the tour, the rest of the day is free and guests are free to explore the town on their own.

This walking tour of the Old Town begins at the picturesque riverside quarter and continues to the Town Hall, which is one of northern Germany's largest and most beautiful medieval town halls. Guests will also visit "Am Sande" Square, to see its magnificent brick gothic buildings. The tour continues with a visit to the German Salt Museum, where your group will learn how a nondescript mineral became a vital building block of life and was nicknamed "white gold." This morning, your group will travel inland by private coach to the vibrant metropolis of Berlin, Germany's capital. Upon arrival, they will have time to get lunch before reconvening for an afternoon tour of this fabulous city. Highlights of Berlin include the Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Platz, and Berlin Cathedral, among a host of other attractions that guests will visit with their guide. The tour will finish back at the hotel, and after check-in, guests will have the remainder of the day to explore this energetic city on their own.
Afternoon Sightseeing Tour of Berlin
This afternoon, your group will dive deep into the fascinating culture and history of one of the world's greatest metropolises. Rising from its ashes like the proverbial phoenix, Berlin today has reinvented itself from its troubled past and yet, retains the unique mementos that remind us of the Nazi-era and beyond. A tour of this city is at once thrilling and poignant, as guests will discover while they witness and learn about iconic sights such as the Brandenburg Gate, a symbol of resilience and unity, and the Holocaust Memorial, reflecting on the past. Your group will navigate through Berlin's atmospheric neighborhoods, from the Nikolai Quarter with its charming shops and cafes, to Kreuzberg with its wall art and vintage shops. Guests will also visit the Museum Island and Berlin Cathedral, among other landmarks. Afterward, the guide will escort guests back to the hotel.
Day 8: Berlin
After breakfast in the hotel, your group will travel outside of Berlin by private coach to Potsdam, a baroque city surrounded by parks, for a guided tour of Sanssouci Park. There will be free time for lunch during the tour, after which guests will be transferred back to Berlin by private coach. Afterward, guests will have time to simply relax or explore the city on their own before reconvening for a farewell group dinner at a local restauran near the hotel.
Guided Sightseeing Tour of Sanssouci Park
This morning in Potsdam, your group will enjoy a guided tour of the spectacular Sanssouci Park. Wrapped around the Sanssouci Palace, constructed by Frederick the Great in the mid-18th century, this estate was meant to serve as the summer palace of the royal family. While more intimate and smaller in size, it is often compared to the French Palace of Versailles, and the interiors of the palace reflect this opulent style. With its ornate palaces, manicured gardens and picturesque pavilions, guests will be amazed at the incredible detail around each corner or bend in the path. They will learn about the history and significance of the palace and its gardens from their guide, before returning to Berlin.
Day 9: Berlin
After checking out of the hotel this morning, your group will travel by private coach to the airport for the return flight back home.
