Another year, another series of iconic travel experiences!
Another year, another series of iconic travel experiences! This year, we had the privilege of hosting travel advisors on six familiarization trips, including our inaugural Annual Advisor Appreciation Trip. As 2024 draws to a close, our sales leadership and Business Development Managers share their favorite moments from these extraordinary journeys and share the itineraries that were crafted off of these travel experiences.
Chris Martin – Christmas Markets in Budapest, Vienna, and Prague
Favorite Experience: The sense of togetherness among the group stood out the most. From our first dinner in a charming igloo at the Hotel President Budapest to our final night at the Michal Restaurant—complete with a folklore show—it was amazing to see friendships blossom. By the last evening, the emotional goodbyes (perhaps enhanced by the included bar) showcased the lifelong bonds formed during this trip.
Favorite EE Product: Hotel Rott in Prague is a standout. Despite its unassuming name, it’s a gem located just steps from Old Town Square. Its central location is perfect, especially during the holiday season, offering picturesque cobblestone streets, cozy rooms, and a delightful breakfast—an ideal way to start the day.

Matt Macis – Barcelona, Spain
Favorite Experience: Our private-guided walking tour of central Barcelona on the first night was a perfect introduction. It allowed us to discover hidden gems amidst the bustling city and set the tone for the rest of the trip. Plus, walking after a long flight was a great way to shake off jet lag.
Favorite EE Product: The private full-day tour outside Barcelona was exceptional. Highlights included the breathtaking views of Montserrat and a “choose-your-own-adventure” experience at the monastery, from museum tours to cogwheel train rides. We ended the day with an unforgettable lunch on the lawn at Codorníu, Spain’s oldest wine and cava producer. Exclusive tastings and private access to rarely visited areas of the estate made this experience truly unique.

Carmen Gashnikov – Holland/Belgium
Favorite Experience: Sharing Bruges with travel partners was a dream come true. Exploring the city’s charm and indulging in a hands-on Belgian chocolate-making session created unforgettable memories. Watching the process unfold and savoring the chocolates brought together culture, creativity, and indulgence in the best way.
Favorite EE Product: The walking tour and canal cruise in Leiden beautifully captured the city’s historic and picturesque essence. Following this with a beer tasting was a delightful surprise. As someone who wasn’t previously a beer enthusiast, I discovered a newfound appreciation for the right kind of brew, making the experience all the more special.

Amanda O’Connell – Ireland
Favorite Experience: Our day in Northern Ireland was unforgettable. From the stunning views at Giant’s Causeway to a surprise visit to Dunluce Castle—a Game of Thrones filming location—every moment was magical. We ended the day at Bushmills Distillery, where I learned about whiskey-making and even brought home a special bottle for my partner.
Favorite EE Product: Spending three nights on a self-drive houseboat with Le Boat was a highlight. Navigating locks and cruising along Ireland’s rivers offered a unique and team-oriented adventure. Living on the water and experiencing Ireland from this perspective was truly one-of-a-kind.

Mark Yacker – First Annual Advisor Appreciation Trip to Greece
Favorite Experience: Getting to know the incredible advisors I traveled with was the best part. The camaraderie and shared experiences made the trip unforgettable.
Favorite EE Product: It’s hard to choose between the stunning properties we stayed at, the catamaran sailing day-trip in Santorini, and the visit to the Akrotiri archaeological site. Akrotiri, a fascinating and lesser-known location, was a delightful discovery.
Itinerary: Highlights of Greece: The Land of Gods and Goddesses
Chad Long – Portugal
Favorite Experience: The private Douro River cruise was the standout moment of the trip. Sailing past vineyards and charming villages while visiting two wineries to sample outstanding wines, including Portugal’s famous Port, was both relaxing and enlightening. Learning about the region’s winemaking history added depth to the experience.
Favorite EE Product: The private guided tour of Porto’s historic center was a highlight. Our expert guide, Pedro, brought the city’s rich history to life, showcasing how Europe Express combines cultural exploration with personalized travel experiences.
