Meet up with your guide and set off to the first highlight of the day: Hadrian’s arch and the impressive temple of Zeus, one of the largest temples built in Greek antiquity. Originally with 152 Corinthian style columns it was a massive structure which is still evident although only few of the columns stand.
Departing from the Temple of Zeus and walking up the beautiful pedestrian way toward the Acropolis of Athens. A short walk passing small shops and caffees you will make your way towards the Acropolis. Reaching the Propylaea, gateway to the mighty Acropolis, where you come "face to face" with the stunning Parthenon, the temple of Athena Nike, and the Erechtheion. Monuments which are still glorious, 2500 years after their completion! The Acropolis of Athens and its monuments are universal symbols of the classical spirit and civilization, and form the greatest architectural and artistic complex bequeathed by Greek Antiquity to the world. It is here that the myths and the city’s past come to life!
