Private Guided Excursion to Mycenae, Epidaurus, and Nafplio
This private journey to Mycenae, Epidaurus, and Nafplio begins in the morning. Guests will meet their personal guide and English-speaking driver and set out in a comfortable airconditioned vehicle. Traveling along the coastal road from Athens, they’ll enjoy a scenic drive to the impressive Corinth Canal, with a brief stop to take in its narrow channel connecting mainland Greece to the Peloponnese. The next destination is Mycenae, an ancient city steeped in myth and history. Here, guests will walk through the iconic Lion Gate, admire the Cyclopean walls, and explore the royal tombs, including the famous Tomb of Agamemnon. The guide will share fascinating details of the site’s 3,000-year-old history, bringing the legendary Mycenaean civilization to life. The tour continues through the plains of Argos to Nafplio, a charming port town where narrow streets, vibrant cafés, and neoclassical architecture await. Guests will have time to stroll the bougainvillea-draped lanes and enjoy a leisurely lunch at a local taverna. The excursion wraps up with a visit to the ancient Theater of Epidaurus, known for its remarkable acoustics, before returning to Athens.
