The Roman cuisine is an in-depth part of the capital’s soul and involves a diverse and eclectic scene that it is simply unmatched. On this tour, you will indulge in a total of seven tastings, each showcasing a unique local specialty with a real, local food-expert, who will take you where the locals go and introduce you to the best Roman flavors. From street food treats, like crunchy Roman pizza to artisanal gelato, the whole city is a soul-comforting festival of tantalizing tastes. The tour will start in the heart of the city center, Piazza Navona, known for the magnificent Bernini Fountain and the Roman heritage, in this district you will savor Rome’s signature snack, pizza Romana. Then off to the Jewish Ghetto, one of the most ancient neighborhoods of Rome. Here, we will taste the dishes like “Carciofi alla Giudia”, a special kind of deep-fried artichoke that is exclusive to this area of Rome! Then, stroll down the charming cobblestone-paved streets of the Ghetto to reach Trastevere! Let your guide lead you to the ancient fornai (bakeries) and botteghe (local delis), browse through the shops, lose yourself among aromas and sensational flavors. Throughout the tour there will be a carefully curated a selection of local wine and beer.
