The impressive Colosseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheater, is the first stop on the itinerary. Skipping the long queues, guests can immediately start exploring this erstwhile venue of numerous gladiatorial events. Built to accommodate more than 50,000 people at a time, the structure is believed to be the largest standing amphitheater in the world. Being part of a small group, guests are assured of an intimate experience and the opportunity to explore at a leisurely pace. Throughout the tour, guests enjoy every word of the guide’s commentary with the included earphones and radio receiver. The next destination is Palatine Hill, the oldest inhabited part of the city which is now an open-air museum. Guests can enjoy breathtaking views of the city and take photos before heading to the legendary Roman Forum with its ruins of ancient government buildings. The tour concludes there, and guests can choose to continue exploring or return to their hotel.
