Shared Tour: Capri Tour with the Blue Grotto. Pick up from hotel included.
This enjoyable outing will have guests leaving the city for a day to discover breathtaking Capri, aptly called ‘The Island of the Gods’. Guests will meet their guide at their hotel early in the morning and drive south across the scenic Italian countryside to Naples for their ferry to Capri. At the island, against a backdrop of white rocky cliffs plunging into the aquamarine water, guests will enjoy a lively guided tour starting from the Piazzetta, or town square. They will walk past beautiful artisanal stores and luxury boutiques while taking in views of the Faraglioni rocks from a distance. The highlight of this tour is the visit to the magical Blue Grotto. This sea cave has unusually blue water that is the result of an extraordinary natural phenomenon involving sunlight. Guests will travel in a small rowboat into the depths of the cavern that was once a favored swimming spot of Emperor Tiberius. Afterward, they will sail back to Naples before returning to Rome.
