Sacrifice, bravery, and the devastating price of freedom are all on display across coastal Normandy. Spend two days seeing the sites of D-Day in person with a private driver guide. Day 1. Enjoy coffee, croissants, and an informative lecture on D-Day en route to the Peace Memorial and Museum in Caen, followed by the Pegasus Bridge in Benouville. Your afternoon includes Arromanches, the German coastal artillery battery of Longues Sur Mer, the American Cemetery in Colleville, and the American Interpretive Center. Day 2. Sainte Mère Eglise where the troops of the 82nd Airborne landed and freed the village during Mission Boston, is the day’s first stop, followed by Utah Beach and the Utah Beach Memorial. The afternoon will consist of two more important sites; cliffside Pointe du Hoc which was attacked and captured by allied troops after a daring climb, and Omaha Beach.
