This tour is an introduction to Germany’s most multifaceted city that was once the residence of the Hohenzollern, the capital of the German Empire and of the German Democratic Republic (DDR), the Weimar Republic and the capital of the Third Reich. Following the end of the dictatorship of terror, the old Nazi center of power was occupied by the Allied Forces and divided into 4 zones.
Nowhere in the world are the consequences of the politics of the Cold War as clearly visible as in Berlin. From 1961 to 1989, the East and West were divided by a wall. After the fall of the wall and the reunification of the Germany, Berlin became the capital again.
The political events profoundly changed the city. During the guided tour you will see the past and present and visit famous monuments. Next to the castles and palaces of the Hohernzollern dynasty, you will find monuments of modern architecture and more than 150 museums.
