Spend the morning at the world-famous Montserrat Monastery, an 11th century Benedictine monastery hidden in the mountains near Barcelona. Surrounded by a shock of pink rock formations, the abbey is one of Spain’s most popular and beautiful religious retreats.

Enjoy a private guided tour of the monastery. You will see the legendary Virgin of Montserrat, a venerated statue of the Madonna and Child who dates back to the 12th century. Learn about the monastery’s history, architecture, and what life is like for the 80 monks that call it home.
